Reinvent food habits we Indians

- 72.96 million adult diabetes population
- Highest prevalence of type 2 diabetes in the world,
- T2 diabetes reduced the life expectancy by up to 10 years
- Around 30% of adults will be overweight or obese by 2040.
- 70% of Indian diet calories come from carbohydrates
- Some of these carbs are sugar, refined flour, biscuits, white rice, fried snacks
- An average Indian consumes at least 15 teaspoons of sugar per day
- Lack of protein in an average Indian diet
- More western diets.
- Low Vitamin D level
- Lack of physical activity

Think mindfully about the above and try to make some changes in lifestyle. more

In Cities like Mumbai, you spend a lot of time in travelling to Office. With the result you are not able to do some Exercise or Yoga etc. More over Office Work is also with Computer, this also results in Health deterioration. more  
Awareness should be developed for change in food habits. more  
During mornings visits to parks, one could feel increasing number of people, young and old, coming to park not only in big cities but in small towns too to do yoga excercises. This is a sign that Indians are becoming health concious and I hope there would be change in what Vinitaji has mentioned. more  
I concur with all that is mentioned here. Our health is largely in our own hands. more  
First of all life style, eating untimely junk food are major cause for poor digestion. This poor quality standard of living needs to be improved. DIABETES is caused due to all above factors and laziness, which needs to be controlled. People with these bad habits take doctors shelter, who in turn convert a person as CRONIC DIABETES. Person asanas, yogas, eat fiber foods,sleep well and brisk walk of 40 minutes to control DIABETES. more
