remove encroachments on berms
NOIDA has excellent engineers and IAS officers. If one looks at NOIDA roads either there are no drains on road side or if the drains are provided, the drains along with road berms of 90% roads in NOIDA are encroached by residents in connivance with officers of NOIDA authority. In practice, roads are working as drains. Therefore, I request Chief minister of UP to order a comprehensive exercise to remove encroachments on berms and over drains which have been closed by encroachers. There is a need to prepare overall drainage plan from whole to part and institutes like IIT or CRRI should be associated. more

Encroachment is a very sensitive issue of Noida if you see all around the city you will find all roadside, market places, commercial sectors encroachment can be seen that cause inconvenience to the public. We have pointed out many times but nothing could be done police & authority is failure to stop it whatever reason may be behind it. Parking paces also encroached by the contractor in the way no one can move even. CM wants to improve these problems but he is also helpless as his official are non-cooperative or not willing to change situations until unless responsible should be punished. more

Apropos of the issue raised by Mr Manglik -I endorse the issue for a holistic resolution. To begin with an average citizen is happy to patronise the vendors on berms and roadside. They litter the roads and drains with used plates, unconsumed food ,green coconuts, peels and so on . The message that is visible to all is -they welcome the encroachments.Have we not seen them parking their bikes and cars and partake of refreshments without a care for other road users? Without ado first let us display better civic sense and road manners. I personally speak to such people who look at you with disdain and find you blameworthy for intruding into their epicurean adventures. Regards more
