The election commission has asked the govt to remove the PM's photo from the covid vaccination certificate for tge states going to the polls. In fact, the photo should not be there at all, irrespective of poll or no poll. more

This is a public health program. And it is not a one man's program.People, scientists , Doctors, thousands of health workers have putin lots of effors and worked to save the lives of Pandemic stricken citizens and to prvent any firther spread with vaccine. There is no Rationale at all in projeting one mans picture. Instead put the caricature of Lord Hanuman carrying Sanjivini with the hillock. This had to be reminded by a Brazilian P.M.The bureaucrats and the people in charge suggest? P.M. also magnanimously suggested for that rather accepting his picture on the certificate. more
So many of our citizens have led our GOI as PM since achievement of current "independence". A lot of them did only routine PM's office tasks as no extraordinary or challenging situations presented. Some, however, faced special situations and did live up to their responsibilities with bravery, ingenuity, grit, tact, etc. Yet, it is only in Govt offices that one sees (used to see?) pics of the Father of the Nation and then current PM - but never certificates carrying pics of the PM: it is not permissible under official protocol (correct me if this is not true...). PM Modi certainly deserves all the honour and respect that he truly deserves as a great leader, a fighter, a true statesman. Yet, even he would not seek or permit himself being advertised with his pic showing up on vaccination certificates!! It is often the overenthusiastic jee-hazur aids who over-ride protocol in belief that their boss would appreciate this as being his "loyals". As brought out in these comments above, it was noticed as inappropriate, and that i has now been corrected, our confidence in guardians of the Nation's official protocol is restored - this great Country does have a strong bureaucracy and Officers knowing what is appropriate as well as what not to do. Jai Hind. more
Instead of a photo of a politician, there should be a disclaimer "This initiative is funded by law abiding and honest tax payers" more
P.M.'s photo on Covid Certificate is definitely in appropriate. I am a staunch Supporter of MODI jee. Pl. Use his photo only where it is necessary & do not de-grade it.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ more
