Removing Cash Transaction Fee by Banks

In the recent poll (attached results), 70% of you had suggested that you do not support the recently introduced cash transaction charges. The same has been released and shared with key Government stakeholders.

We are pleased to also share that yesterday itself the Government has asked banks to reconsider these cash transaction charges.

We hope that the Government will follow up on this, so these charges are removed by the banks.

We are also aware that leaders and officers from some of the key Government departments are members of LocalCircles and always appreciate their taking timely action on citizen concerns raised. more

What is the latest status of the transaction charges by banks, as on 31.07.2018? more
Govt is talking about digitalisation and helping banks to impose service charges for our own hard earned money. In future this will take away banking habits of public. Govt is attacking small investors and poor middle class again and again. Even poor people are depositing and withdrawing. No digitalisation is effective.vThis is anti poot and middle class. Remove immediately the service charges. On Mar 7, 2017 8:57 PM, "LocalCircles Manager" wrote: > more
It is like using mobile phones. Incoming free out going charged .as per whims n fancies of the service providers , over n above service charges other conditions apply, only the bank knows or God. If so than why do we need banks? Than live on their mercy. Great , is this we call progress?, more
BJP Government should see to it that transaction charges are not levied for taking money from their own accounts. For all withdrawals no charges should be levied. Already banks are multiplying their incomes with our deposits and then collecting charges on their withdrawal by customers is like giving punishment to the ducks laying golden eggs. more
What has this Govt done about it, except for asking banks not to do it? more
