Request to Consumer Ministry

Most standards in India are formed by industry lobby groups and in many cases by the companies themselves as the process is never laid out fot consumer feedback.

Via these circles you have developed a unique communication channel. Please see how on any new standards that are made by BIS, the same can also be opened for feedback of consumers.

If that is done we will have more consumer friendly products and services.

Await everyones feedback and dept action... more

Sir I would like to concentrate you on my thinking that if false advertisement is banned in India then it could be better for our health because these advertisers are highly motivating innocent people by telicasting the advertisement. Which is 99% fake. And one more thing as a nutrition advisor I know, Pepsi and Coca-Cola contains high percentage of caffeine and carbonated water which damage our cell and lower the bone density then why FSSAI is giving permission? more
Yes. Feed back helps to build consumer friendly production. Unfortunately our companies do not be leave in feedback system. feedback is generally considered as complaint. One can observe that the feedback process in any company is not user friendly. For feed back they depend on the survey of their pet companies who in return give pleasing feedback. In fact feed back can help producers to develop the products as per the demand. But our industry believes in imposing advertising. Historically necessity was the mother of invention. But our advertisers have changed it in reverse that invention has become the mother of necessity. I propose every company must have user friendly feedback/ complaint system. more
I agree with you Sir more

Government selects members of industry because they have experience in product testing. It also select people from academics to relatesame to theory. Experienced also are included. This is perfect but selection of these people is important. more
I think it is a very important thing. Also, the BIS needs to be proactive and build its competence. Having worked government of India in the telecom sector I found they did not even have access to the standards other than ITU-T. This is the fundamental problem, how does one build competence. We need more educated people in government. The chicken and egg story. 1. The government wants to be lean and mean. Not a bad thing but in a world where businesses drive all the initiatives of the government with malafide intent. Helps a system to develop a systemic corrupt environment driven by the malafide intent of businesses. 2. Everything gets weakened by a political system that sees objectives of only vote bank politics. We need to find a way to break this system that works on malafide intent. We need to form more that are based policy experts along with good technical knowledge (not aligned with businesses) contribute to these organizations. more
