RERA rules are yet to be framed and notified by West Bengal and Haryana . Last date is approaching ..fast on 31st July 2017 . Under RERA all under construction property are requried to be registered for marketing and sale. The details are also required to be put in the official website . Regulators is also required to be appointed . I hope the new Urban Development Minister , Narender singh Tomar should take it as a top priority job on himself and urge States to expidite like his predecessor Mr Venkaiya Naida . This will save milions of people's money and savings who has booked flat and yet to get possession from builders like UNITECH , DLF , Amrapali , OMAX, Mahagun ..etc. WILL THE PRESENT MINISTER LISTEN . Mr. Naidu has taken bold step in implementing RERA . Now the spirit must be kept high by incumbent minister . Else the builders will start behaving the same way as before more

Dear Ashim: The Builder lobby IS THE POLITICAL LOBBY..!!.. They call themselves Agriculturists and hold the large land banks under their control. Most of their Black money is "blocked" in lands and sometimes, they declare it also as Agricultural land to get "exemption" from any tax. NAMO should crack the whip strongly now and make this RERA EFFECTIVE..!!.. THIS STEP WOULD ALSO "TAME THE BLACK ECONOMY" which our NAMO is trying to bring under control. more
Both ways it is Real Estate Mafia ruling the roost. They own agricultural lands and avail facilities there too and even after conversion of land, they still cheat the system and people by sky rocketing the price. Anyway, regularization will take place after their completion of irregularities/ gross violations. So all these must be checked properly. more
Dear Ashimji you move is right. But remember one thing that, builder lobby is a biggest source of cash money for political or Government party/officials. So there are always loop holes to protect the builders. It is happening in Maharashtra. Builders filed case against government's bill of RERA. Now this case will run for years together and till then common man has to wait for the completion and possession of the flat / house. If we will demand late possession penalty, though it is in agreement, they will use muscle power money to stop you. We have elected as a sensible citizens of India a Well Educated and cultured, civilized person as our councilor, MLA, MP and Ministers and PM too. DO you think they are so innocent to understand the problem of common man who is their voters. So Solution I personally feel as follow: 1. After receiving complaint from any common man who is a buyer of flat or house, the government should acquire the property within 10/15 days. 2. After acquiring the property of defaulter builder, the builder will not have any right to claim anything from consumer of Government. 3. Immediately Government should develop this property and handover the possession to the buyer. 4. Builder should not be spared free. He should be sent behind the bar for committing crime of deliberate delay. ( Every day there should be strict watch in jail to confirm that, the builder has not sent his paid dummy in jail) more
