The RERA, passed by Parliament last year, will not be applicable to projects in Haryana presently, only because the state government is dragging its feet due to the pressures of the Builders lobby. 1 May 2017 was the annointed due date for issue of the notification. The Haryana Govt. is now deliberating and may issue the notification with riders to EXEMPT presently ongoing projects. This means that all those who have paid even full instalments will not get any benefit. We must demand that existing projects must be completed and apartments must be handed over after all formalities in time bound manner. more
