Reservation in India
Is reservation in India a success? Is there any need to provide reservation to all those people who have already flourished in various fields after taking the benefit of reservation? Isn't this becoming a menace because everybody wants to take benefit of this? Undoubtedly, there was a need at the time of our country becoming independent & republic as for ages together there have been many malpractices in our society on the basis of caste. But now India has entered the global arena and even now, we want reservations on the basis of caste / religion which is hampering the progress as many young people who belong to "forward caste" or "majority religion" are not getting ample opportunities. We want reservation at the time of admission to school / college; we want reservation at the time of getting a Government job and we want reservation at the time of promotion. Is there any relevance of reservation in today's world? Does providing reservation mean that the beneficiaries are not good for anything? Don't they have creativity / skill? Aren't they hard working? If they are creative, skilful and hard working, shouldn't they be treated on par with others who are not the beneficiaries? The politicians are dividing the country and so are the people who are unnecessarily raising the issue and trying to get benefited in one way or the other. Can our country progress in this fashion? more

I completely support the PM and all the politicians for promoting this. Let's start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have 10 percent reservation for Muslims. 30 percent for OBC, SC /ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs. An OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century. We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal. Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters. There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and politicians (that can really help the country.. ) Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..) Let's be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward... Let's show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country.
