If member of Parliament resigns from his seat before completion of his tenure with reasons other than physical incapability , then it creates unnecessary vacancy and result in reelection . Member of Parliament who resigns once should not be allowed again for participating in election as a punishment against the abuse of Trust of people . Not only MP, MLA, MLC and any elected member, if resigns under such wills stands ineligible to contest any time in his life unless he notifies the reason of dislike to continue either in that party or, in such public/national power . Public Should not be Cheated so. more

The cost of election must be recovered from him and he should not be allowed to recontest the following election. more

1) The point raised by you is perfectly genuine & valid 2) To extend the points - pay members of the parliament only for the days they work & participate in the day i.e based on their attendance (full 8 hrs or 10 hrs attendance) 3) No more pension or benefits once they demise the position 4) No legal protection for their acts or missed acts of omission 5) The maximum term for any member of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha MP should be limited to TWO or THREE terms. 6) The term for President ship or PM position should be maximum TWO terms. 7) Should anyone wants to participate & stand for elections again, there should mandatory gap of 10 years in between 8) Unless the above are done, India will never find its true leaders.
