Restrictions removed for pollution

The ban on BS3 petrol and diesel and BS4 diesel four wheelers will be lifted from today

All types of vehicles can ply from Monday, NO curbs, per Delhi govt officials

My point is - isnt it too soon? more

More people were using mass public transport that runs on either CNG or electricity, as in the case of metro trains, with only hiring a vehicle for last mile connectivity, which was good for the environment and keeping the roads more free. Diesel priced cheaper than petrol, so people still using diesel vehicles, even though more polluting. Would have been better that a strategic pricing of the fuel be done rather than reactively ban, only subsequently, complying with public popularity, lift the ban! Ganbarimasu, in Japanese means "doing one's best", adopted as a formal practice. Do we practice that! Not so easy getting those who consciously dieselised their transportation to take steps concerning remedying the pollution. more
Less than intelligent diaspora and even more foolish(detrimental) government. Why did they allow so many registrations in first place? Cannibals.. more
it was foolish to impliment a ban like this without even considering available public transport options. I paid double using public transport system for to and from office to home. fares for Ola and Uber have raised by double since lock down. Its the governments responsibility to tackle pollution without damaging our pockets. by banning public vehicles its just causing harrasment to general public. more
It was one of the most foolish decisions of the Delhi Government. Without analyzing the data they decided to ban movement of BS-3 Petrol and BS-IV Diesel vehicles. If this is really enforced more than 95% of the cars would have been off the roads. Absolutely ridiculous and insane decision. The government vehicles which are the most polluting vehicles were exempted. Completely irrational call. more
I can't understand what is the use for this ban, useless. These vehicles have been plying on Delhi roads since long and suddenly ban is forced. No one ready to work on real source of pollution. All decisions of bureaucracy are biased. more
