Maintain a strict diet. Keep yourself busy doing some work or the other. Walk briskly for 45 minutes in the morning and evening . This will help in reducing sugar levels more  
Initially to control sugar adopt daily deep breath exercise,which impacts on stomach area,generates more oxygen improves good blood circulation. Prevents formation of acidity, constipation reflex. Eat only leafy vegetables, which contains more fibrous value. Avoid all deep fried, junk foods, including non veg. Because many of the birds or animals are grown with steroid, animal feeds are made from dried blood of other animals and whether after proper testing for infection etc.In many cases contaminated or fully decayed products are supplied. Such information news appears on various channels. To my knowledge as iof now no medicine or doctors could cure diabetes, where both makes a person slave ,making him/ her live only medicines .incase a person not underwent any surgery , yoga,asanas and brisk walk would be more beneficial for DIABETES related issues. more  
Improvised digestive system needed to enable more insuline secretion. This is possible only by performing yoga and asanas. Kapalvadi pranayam Start with 15 and slowly increase to maximum 500 times at a stretch. This pranayam stimulates overall stomach, lever,industanial , abdominal systems and assists in digestive system. Manduhasan To perform minimum 15 minutes. Each asana should be of 30 seconds in beginning and gradually it should be 60 seconds at a stretch. This asana to be done daily in empty stomach. AGNI SAR This is a breathing exercise. It assists improving good digestive system. It is advisable to have proper guidence from experts for correct performance. more  
I am 64 years with diabetes and blood pressure diagnosed with earliy retionapathy 27 years back. With Lasik laser treatment I am still have reyipnapathy under control. Visit Eye Doctor -Retinopathy Specialist once in six months and follow the advise. more
