Revamping the Mission Model of Modi Govt

Recently, I have interacted with some Central Govt bureaucrats. I feel the Govt does not have it mission model right and that is why most of the Missions of the Govt are lagging and PMO has to drive it. Can we please have a discussion on how the Govt should structure its missions for them to be effective and deliver results. What should be role of Niti Ayog, PMO, the Ministry.

Till we resolve this, I think most of the Govt missions will falter sooner or later. more

As the lok sabha representatives, ministers would take the problem of the people along with the solution sometimes. It is the duty of the bureaucrats to make those word into documentation and that's why our constitution accepts people of any educational qualification to participate in the election, but officers not only with good qualification, but also with good experience in that field are getting appointed for the concern departments. Even if their is implementation problem in any of the proposal brought by the minister, is it not the duty of bureaucrats to detail these things. That's why select committee consisting of ministers having lot of meeting with concern department higher officials before producing there report to the government. more
Much needed more
1. In an another post earlier , I have requested a Web Page containing the NDA Government's Missions and Welfare measures just like we are seeing on the right side of this page on advts. and Circles . 2. This will in deed made the participants / members know all of NDA ventures at public and national interest . 3. In another some posts , I had suggested that a display on welfare measures and Make in India etc., Economy measures in all Post Offices ; and , about all the Industrial and Business Missions in the Banks . IF THE GOVERNMENT IMPLEMENT THESE 3 , THERE WILL BE THE BEST USE AND UTILIZATION WHICH LEADS TO MAXIMUM SUCCESS AND DELIVERY OF THE STRIVE OF NDA Rule please . more
Few points: 1. Change Management is not handled. 2. Wrong people in right mission. No more seniority but the right man. 3. New techniques. Use Agile, 6 Sigma, etc. In Agile lead spends a few minutes with his whole group in first hour to know what work is done and next plan. Helps beat corruption. 4. Strong assessment and grievance wings. Have to have one if implementing 6 Sigma. 5. Think out of the box. Adapt techniques to suit needs of mission. 6. Punishment and reward policy. No more government job security, its creating corruption. 7. Responsibility and Accountability. Lead is responsible for his team performance. Deliver results or ship out. There's so much more... more
