Revolutionary ideas for innovative governance

I understand Modi Government 2.0 is trying to be different and all the inputs we are giving. However I still feel drastic steps are needed to speed up things.

For instance, why cant the Government over next 3 months create an integrated CCTV network that monitors what is happening in every major Central Govt office in Delhi.

Start with the high risk and critical ones. Monitor corruption, lethargy, inefficiency, too many people fiddling their thumbs or looking at mobile, making citizens/business wait (sometimes all day).

There should be a target to redploy or terminate 25% people on central govt payroll and use the money for giving incentives to those officers who slog.

Let Govt of India be service to nation, pay for performance and an efficient system. more

Not only government can bring in change, but citizens must extend their hands in unison to see a New India. People need to be sincere and honest whether in their personal or official life. For example, government is focused for Clean India, but citizens does not cooperate. So why to blame government. People still liter and spit on the roads but will not do at home. Of course, we cannot see change overnight in such a vast and populous country. People needs to be constantly educated and make them aware of what is good for them and the country. Simplification and rationalization of various rules, regulations and taxes across will go in long way in seeing a full groomed India. more
All the state government must install the working CCTV and its control room in all the government offices including police station. Recently I went for police verification to my police station and unwillingly I had to pay Rs.500 to the verification officer he was asking for Rs.1000 but some how convinced for Rs.500 even the process of passport is smooth, fast and time bound completion but still the corruption cannot be eliminated completely and trust me police department of all the states are the most corrupt department, not even a single state in india can claim the corruption free police, so to my opinion installation of CCTV and its monitoring 24x7 is must and it must start from all police station as well as other state/central government offices without further delay. more

It has to be change in the mind set. Monitoring on CCTV can help only to an extent. Once you have Govt. Job , don't have to worry. The perks and pension is even better. Online services given on the UP Website don't necessarily work. NOida is an IT hub. try obtaining a death certificate online. THis one of the 10 listed online services. They pride in telling you it's non- functional. Better still to galvanise them , give notice to the Officer in charge. If online services as claimed by the Govt. Website are not available in practice, no pension or perks, since they are in effect cheating the public, who pays their salarys for the harassment they are causing them. more
Govt has over last five years streamlined the system such that need to visit Govt office is substantially reduced. People should start trusting govt that their task will be performed without follow up and in timely manner. It will further reduce. more
