Rilways

Cosmetic changes cannot save rlys.A man can pay Rs.90L for getting a board member, imagine how much he will aspire ,at least 10 times??
Why do you need a Rly board, duplicate RCF office, COFMOW,etc. All are superfluous.
-Dismantle board send them to zones as directors with accountability and responsibility.Reporting directly to minister.
-All manufacturing units need not have any office in Delhi.
-RDSO is a white elephant ,nothing comes out of it. more

I strongly agree with ur point but unfortunately how many users follow the Gentlemen will lift the seat" rule and it is stained badly the stench is too much, not only that people who use it don't even bother to the doors behind them and smoke in the toilets. Accountability has to be the there at all costs ! more
I agree with Mr Ratan Rateria, western toilets are a must, as it will greatly help the elderly people. Railways can even think about providing urinals, so that people need not use the toilets everytime. more
I do not agree with your point number 10. How could you give such a suggestion after writing so many very brilliant suggestions ??? Western Commode System is a prime necessity of modern world and I would suggest that the quality of the commode, Commode seat and commode shower should be improved in place of removing them !!! more
The mother of all ills in India is Mismanagement. We have wrongly borrowed British empire Bureaucracy, which was designed to serve Emperors and not to serve common people. It is good for nothing, producing more files than food. Problems further worsened by election of low quality politicians to the power zone. Corruption is caused due to scarcity of facilities and delays in their availability. So in my opinion following are the solutions: 1. Increase production of Engines,Railway coaches and wagons by putting up more factories. 2. Put up R&D Wing of Railways to lower the dead weight of trains to make it more fuel efficient without compromising on safety. Coaches made of Stainless steel are one such alternative. 3. Restrict entry of only valid travel ticket holder on the platform. 4. Make all coaches door sliding and self closing. 5. Doubling of all single tracks to ensure timely departure and arrival of all trains. 6. Attach pantry car with all trains having travel time of more than 8 hours. 7. Auction of unusable and junk property should be made on regular interval. and it should be well advertised. 8. All kinds of free passes should be abolished. 9. Number of unreserved coaches should be increased to accommodate poor people. So that entry of unreserved people in the reserved coaches be restricted strictly. 10. Provision of Toilets with western commode should be abolished and the space may be used on both gates to provide cabinets/ shelves to store heavy luggage with token system to be maintained by coach attendant. -I shall come up with more solutions in my next mail. I hope above suggestions would receive Railway Minister's attention. Thanks- Dhirendra Bhatnagar more
corruption can be rooted out only once transparancy come out in process, there should be transparant & automated process ,afterwards massive investment should be done to meet out the increasing requirement as main reason of corruption is gap in demand & supply . more
