Rising cost of Flat Purchase with GST
I am buying a Flat. Service Tax was charged @ 4.5 % on the Booking amount & payment due with rising Floor Casting.
We did not need to pay for excise Duty, ST etc.
Since introduction of GST we are asked to pay @ 12 % since this is inclusive of All Taxes, Duties.
There is No reduction of the Price being given for their share of the taxes and duties which were inclusive.
Builder says there is no clarification from GST for the benefits to be passed on to client.
Pl advice for corrective action. more

Builder is bound to give Input Tax Credit for all building material purchases which is very big amount to the Flat Buyer. Otherwise send complaint against builder immediately to RERA commissioner. more

Please write to the rera deptt. and eek clarification,builders are putting up many excuses those who wish to pay without fighting are the loosers so use little extra pust and approach the authorities and you shall gain more
