Why should the Administration allow this situation ? No doubt the price rise isn't in the Hands if India. As and when there is a n increase in international Prices by the Producers , India Increases . I only hope The Government doesn't allow the prices to touch the coveted land mark of Rs. 100 . I do remember we all criticised the previous Government for aiming at 100 for the petrol price as well as the value of the Indian Rupee. Should we not rescue ourselves by taking effective measures like drive less by car-pooling, walk, use public transports, etc. etc. And let the Government go on a war footing to find alternate sources to replace the Petrol . more
Patrol and Diesel must be brought under GST.This is the need of the hour. This can become main issue for ruling party in next forth coming Election. Better act now or never. more
Unless the state governments and Central government reduces the taxes or bring the price under GST, the problem continues to be the same. more
Dear Sir, The average inflation in our country is around 4%. During 2013-14, the cost of petrol was around Rs. 74/ltr and now, in 2018, it is around 80/ltr. That is within 4 years there is a rise of Rs. 6 increase in a litr. That is, only around 8 percent or to be precise 2 percent every year. So, I don't think it a big problem. As for the taxes: The government spends lakhs of crores in the improvement of the infrastructure and needs money to implement the same. So, let us make our little contributions every day - either by paying few rupees more on the fuel or by avoiding filling the car with fuel and use public transport. The import bill is snowballing and the rupee is being devalued. Our country has the strength to contain the increase - but there is no point in reducing the fuel price below normal and it seems that it would stabilise some where around Rs. 85 as it is the 16% inflation in the past 4 years (4x4=16%) even without government intervention as the prices are linked to global prices. Your goodself is calling to contribute to the Nation`s Development and to bear the higher prices of Petrol / Diesel. Very good. The whole country is running by the Taxpayer`s money. What are the contributions by the MLA`s , MP`s, Present & Past Ministers and so on? Why the Citizens will only contribute? Hardly 20% money is being utilised for the developmental works! Where the rest 80% is going? more
