Rising prices

The Consumers in India recently faced an unprecedented rise in prices of onions crossing Rs.100 per kg. After several protests from the public, it has been brought down. But during the period of onion price rise, the traders, hoarders, and black marketers are reported to have earned a tax free income of over Rs.1000 crores. This unaccounted money is now being used by them to hoard the pulses like dhall etc creating an artificial shortage through hoarding. Before recovering from the effect of onion price increase, the present skyrocketing prices of dhall and pulses is a rude shock for the common man. Indian voters are fully aware that this kind of price rise is not possible without the tacit support of the authorities. The soft attitude towards anti social elements like hoarders and black market traders should be the prime concern of the political opposition. Instead of promising to bring back black money from unknown accounts in unknown countries, the circar could do well to stop the black marketing and hoarding of essential commodities in the country which is very much within their reach. more

The only mode of selling the products by the farmers should be through government instead of agents involving it. Pathetic thing is that it goes from the hands of agents to government employees. Already their is a discussion on poor performance of the government employees. The production of the food grains varies every year which makes the people not to guess whether it is the real demand or artificial. more
Even yesterday , the new A.P. Government arranged raids and Ceased Food grains worth 1.5 Crores while as the Central government raid in the first fortnight Ceased 3,600 Tonnes of Tur Dal . This proves that there is absolute opposition for the goal good governance or , the Businessmen' s habits so strongly became chronic . more
