Roads and infrastructure

Dear Friends
I want to mention one issue that I have been noticing for some time in Noida area. Noida authority has built roads in the industrial area phase 2 multiple times in the last two years. Every time the road is broken within 2 - 3 months. Is there any check on such waste of money. Immediately after building the road some other work is carried on the road and the road is broken. Then we manage with that broken road until it is built again. more

Today after hearing about the death of minister gopinath munde, must say we need to improve our traffic rules, liense issuing process should be made strict and even the driving test should be made something meaning ful. many people are just told to take one round in a midan and then given a license. some just pay money to the officials and get a driving license and then we have these incidents. also the quality of roads and nature of road rules are to blame. it becomes so difficult for senior citizens to cross the roads coz even when signal is green for pedestraians vehicles start running around if there are less people on road. more
Vamshi, you are right its happening in every part of the country i don't know what's the reason behind but even I have seen in mumbai where i m staying. Once the road is repaired or rebuilt definitely in a weeks tym you will find a digging wrk for water pipeline or cable work and then it will be left as it is having a pot hole for almost a year. I ask the govt when you give tender for piping or cable work why its not mentioned in the clause that the repair work of road should be their responsibility after final survey. The private company should repair the road and then the payment shld be processed. more
Munish, I don't this is happening only in Noida. I'm from Bangalore and I see this every day. A newly done road is dug up for some cabling or some thing else. I see there is a clear lack of coordination between different departments of government. All the time it is our money that is wasted due to this mis-management. I'm curious on how can we tackle such issues. more
