Role NRIs can play in Telangana: Inputs Sought
With this post, we want to seek your ideas on how this circle can be utilized for NRIs to contribute to various social initiatives in Telangana.
For a long time, NRIs have been reluctant to contribute because of lack of accountability in governance.
With over 31,000 citizens of Telangana in the circle, if NRI funds, executing administration (DM, MC) or NGOs are brought together, your on ground presence/participation can play a big role to improve NRI confidence to donate funds.
Areas can be many, from constructing community toilets to donating sanitary napkins and from supporting a small entrepreneur to making sure only disposable syringes are used in hospitals.
Do share your inputs and ideas. It is quite fulfilling for NRIs if they can contribute to the development of their hometown or home state and see it happening in reality because there is an ecosystem available to demand and ensure execution. more

More temperamental emotional statements without financial backing or planning Speeches are long and great action does not follow them in Telengana. KCR has vision thought but low planning. Any one plans can not do the way he is trying to do. more

TRS Govt. thought is right but to implement and use all funds to actual projects without diverting other side and to monitor each level of stage with the help of local bodies/circles. more

Any donor whether it is NRI or otherwise wants that his money is utilised for the purpose it is meant for and his last rupee is accounted for. If we are able to create such awareness among the funding individuals/ organisations ,they will be very much pleased to participate in social causes. If some like minded people those retired/in service ,with highest integrity if can extend their services voluntarily on such responsibility and the same is conveyed to the funding individuals and organisations there shall be immense response from them. more

It is indeed a good progressive thought to tap the resources of NRIs to develop rural India in various fields of education,health ,industry .But after many years of testing they are reluctant to participate fully as they had bad experience of bad execution, misappropriation , incomplete projects. To instill confidence the govt ,the local leaders ,genuine NGOs must strive hard and bring forth plans that are beneficial to the people in need or the people whom the NRI wants to benefit,or the project which he has interest .It must be transparent ,supervised ,audited and executed to the plans needs and satisfaction of NRI.The dist collector must be a guarantor for such execution from govt side and help in all dealings with govt and push for its sucessful culmination. more

You are right Sir, we can assure NRIs for helping Telegana if we have hopes on n of good projects Ayyapa Society was started with big - Nothing happened any projects were launched with great fan fare do not again hear about them. Except Mr. Harish Rao, no one really follows up activities launched by them - Sorry we can not fool NRIs any more more
