Role of NSIC

I wish to know the role of NSIC in providing service to MSMEs. As I have seen the only help it renders is to to issue a certificate that the concerned industry is a small scale one and based on this it can get exemption from Earnest money deposit (EMD) for participation in Govt tenders. This can be simply avoided by producing the SSI certificate. Further the practice of EMD for participation in tenders should be scrapped. Institutions like NSIC should be shut down saving the Govt huge amount of money. more

Mr Rahul kumar, Will you kindly educate us on benefits of SIDBI to MEMEs. more
MSMEs need is finance but SIDBI also does not lend without colatral more
Mr. Rahul Kumar, My special regards to you. Though you are not from NSIC but you know about the NSIC portal and their services, this is appreciable. Anyhow, now you also have come to know their all the services of NSIC are useless and very few of entrepreneurs may be using it. I am registered with NSIC for last 10 years except EMD it is of no use. Even their Tender information service is also useless (charges for this service is apart from registration charges) and they don't care to inform if once tender subscription is expired. Private tender information service providers are 1000 times better than NSIC. Even about ZED (Zero Effect Zero Defect) we have bitter experience. more
I wish some officials of NSIC see this spontaneous appraisal of their performance. more
COST BENEFIT analysis can be suggested for this type of govt organisation. They are getting salary for Lakhs, but doing a clerical job of 10,000. more
Expecting some feed back from Mr. Rahul Kumar. Does he work for NSIC? more
No Sir, I am not working for NSIC. I am part of SIDBI promoted "UDYAMIMITRA" team. more
Dear Mr Rahul Kumar, I have gone through NSIC's portal. They have listed 8 "services". Raw material assistance; Interest rate is higher than what banks offer. In addition there is a processing fee and associated red tapes. 2)B2B portal- Not very useful. It's a paid service. Better assistance is available. 3)Incubation centre. Don't know how many people use it. This is provided by many organisations free of charge ( MSR University provides free Space for more than one year with free access to library and lot of other help with no red tape. Certain corporates like Wipro ,TATA also provide this) 4) Single point registration- This is for waiver of EMD 5,6,7,8L Not much substance. I strongly feel this organisation should be wound up. more
