Role of Print ,Electronic Media in our Country

The presentation of misleading information influencing an audience towards a particular cause. I don't want to say that (Specially in Electronic Media) news, debates are all lies and false propaganda , but they must introspect that in race of T R P, or to creat false sensation what information they are giving to the public.
In the name of investigative journalism and so called Debates, They have totally mixed up the meaning and definition of words Accused,Culprits,Guilty and within seconds without any fair trial they make arraign to any person. It is very dangerous situation for any society.
The “journalistic truth” is a process that begins with the professional discipline of assembling and verifying facts. Then journalists try to convey a fair and reliable account of their meaning, subject to further investigation.
Journalists should be as transparent as possible about sources and methods so audiences can make their own assessment of the information. Even in a world of expanding voices, “getting it right” is the foundation upon which everything else is built – context, interpretation, comment, criticism, analysis and debate. The larger truth, over time, emerges from this forum.
The purpose of journalism is thus to provide citizens with the information they need to make the best possible decisions about their lives, their communities, their societies, and their governments.
It is their basic and social obligation to show the real and clear news only. Do not give judgements under the way and name of debates. Indian Judiciary System is so strong ,Impartial,Un biased, unprejudiced, They are only authorised to give judgements, No Media Trials please.
Please focus on real & ethical journalism as it is your duty and commitment.
Social websites are misused tool sometimes fitfully and also responsible for spreading rumours like fire.We as responsible Citizens must check and watchfull for such groups who take the disadvantage of sensitive situations. more

Socalled reputed Indian leading media houses are controlled by goondas, politicians and corporates who otherwise called money looters and intra-related!! so cannot expect honesty in today's media world !! more
Most of the media houses either owned or funded by politicians. So , the media houses serve the purpose of the funding people. The decide the importance/space/ page of the news as per their will. Some one was telling that Gandhi ji assassination news was printed in small column in last page by an English daily. Now a days it is not possible to differentiate between a paid news and reported news. Once head lines used to attract people to buy/read news papers now big adds have replaced the headlines which has ruined the charm of headlines. The day is not far that the this type of attitude will cause the death of news papers. News channels do not have any control, any rich one can have own channel say as they like. Because the by the time law takes its time, the channels purpose of giving that news is served. Later when they found guilty, they offer apologies or pay the fine, because they respect law. more
Electronic Media trials need to be banned. They only should debate and should not give judgement. more
You are correct, but everyone is more conscious of popularity more
I totally agree with Sri Sheikh. None of the media - both print and electronic can be considered bias free. The least offence is news selection. In addition, the words they use are very often slanderous. In addition print media run opinion pieces which often peddle lies in a sophisticated manner. Terms like secularism, nationalism etc are used very elastically. Most of the media appear to have their own agenda in giving such (mis) information. To be honest, this has been happening for the past 3 decades or more. For example, a famous English daily with very left wing views completely blacked out the break up of the Soviet Union as well as the bringing down of the Berlin wall just because it did not suit its owner's views. I am sure, any number of such examples can be found for right wing views also. Distortion of history, propagation of anti national views in the name of freedom of the press has been happening. The same is with the Letters to the Editor section also. Only the views of some people are published. The less said about private news channels and social media, the better. My request is just boycott these. You save time and do not waste your vital energy by discussing and getting negatively excited by blatantly wrong views. In other words, most of the newspapers have become viewspapers just to propagate the views of a select few at the reader/viewer's expense of money and time. more
