Root causes for corruption
We need to deliberate on how to eliminate the need for funds at party level; then we can solve at individual leader level. more
Already, Various experts and Independent agencies e.g. ADR ( Association of Democratic Reforms - their website gives valuable insights) and the constitutionally independent Honourable Supreme Court during hearings of corruptions cases and most importantly the Report No. 255 dated March 2015 on Electoral Reforms by Law Commission of India, Government of India itself had commented as follows:
“It is now well established that money plays a big role in politics, whether in the conduct, or campaigning, for elections.” “..There is widespread prevalence of BLACK MONEY, BRIBERY, AND QUID PRO QUO CORRUPTION; ….As a result, it becomes difficult for the good and the honest to enter legislatures. It also creates a high degree of compulsion for corruption in the political arena. This has progressively polluted the ENTIRE SYSTEM. Corruption, because it erodes performance, becomes one of the leading reasons for non-performance and COMPROMISED GOVERNANCE in the country. The sources of some of the election funds are believed to be UNACCOUNTED CRIMINAL MONEY IN RETURN FOR PROTECTION, UNACCOUNTED FUNDS FROM BUSINESS GROUPS WHO EXPECT A HIGH RETURN ON THIS INVESTMENT, KICKBACKS OR COMMISSIONS ON CONTRACTS ETC.”
“The Association of Democratic Reforms in its election expenses analysis for the Lok Sabha 2009 elections in their analysis on the sources of funding for political parties, found that more than SEVENTY-FIVE PER CENT (75%) of parties’ sources are UNKNOWN, while donations over Rs. 20,000 comprise only NINE PER CENT (9%) of parties’ funding.”
Solution:
I personally feel that to eliminate corruption significantly(not merely cosmetic), Electoral Reforms, Judicial Reforms, Police Reforms, immediate actions for Placing Lok Pal in Center and Lokayuktas in the States where not available till now etc. are LONG OVERDUE and WILL SIGNIFICANTLY reduce corruption in India as has been witnessed in other low-corruption countries. Electoral Reforms is one of the most fundamental step and should be initiated immediately. All common voters like us would collectively acknowledge and accept the above common fact as already highlighted by the Experts as explained above and hence persuade ALL political parties through Social Media postings that it’s high time for India to initiate sweeping electoral reforms including immediate implementation of Para 29 C of the above report which states as follows :
“ Maintenance, audit, publication of accounts by political parties : Each recognised political party shall maintain accounts clearly and fully disclosing all the amounts received by it and clearly and fully disclosing the expenditure incurred by it.” more
1. Creating UAN a/c has reduced corruption at PF office
2. Introducing Rupiya debit card for farmers has reduced fertilizer hoarders and black money
3. Demon has reduced black and fake money
Many dont understand or explain demon. How did the money supply go down is the question nobody answers. Demon only replaced the currency. If the supply has gone down, all these guys agree that black and fake money was in circulation and now it is not there. Quite obvious. But Media and guys like this, will never explain how the supply has gone down du to demon.
If we relate it properly, we know demon was right more
