ROOTING OUT CORRUPTION IN PUBLIC SERVICE

Corruption is the order of the day. All Govt official from lowest to Top has planned and organised a way to mint money on any representation from the people with the safeguard of politicians.Without corruption, nothing is possible in Tamilnadu. How it can root out ? The only way is to confiscate the property from the corrupted people with strong punishment such as throwing out their employment, imprisonement etc. Otherwise, corruption cannot be annihilated. From 1971 onwards, the corruption is organised with the help of politicians and channelised especially in Tamilnadu. The following steps are suggested:-
01.Strong punishment such as dismissal from service.
02.Seizure of accumulated properties and wealth from the day of employment to till the date of removal.
03.Imprisonement such puting the corrupt persons into Jail through speedy Judicial Trial.
04.Continuous monitoring of the Police Officials through Special Public Participated Agency with full power.
These are all steps to reduce some extant of corruption. more

You are correct. But what to do with the present state of affairs ,I believe that this is going to a  stage that none can live peacefully in this country On Wednesday, December 27, 2017 9:23 PM, THIRUVENGADASWAMY RAMANUJAM wrote: more
Brother, with utmost humility, let me ask you, when the tamil makkal vote for money, where is the hope for corruptionless state? Tamil makkal run behind freebies, and even make stampede.... The State is undergoing worst of its time! No hope in the future as well! Better educate the people on Social Awareness for a Better Life for everyone! Yes Corruption is so deep rooted that it is hard to check unless sustained and committed action is initiated. To detect or to convict a tainted Government Official takes long drawn legal proceedings. Even after conviction the convict has a comfortable stay in the Prison. So only a proper system and close monitoring of every Government Official can pave way for a corruption free Country. I wish to suggest my views as under : 1. A Public Relations Office to be established at Government Departments. 2. Appropriate intimation / notice to be displayed and or published in all News Papers - preferably in local language apart from English clearly indicating the Documents to be attached along with the application. 3. All applications along with the required documents as attachment specified in the notification be submitted to this Public Relations office who in turn should issue an acknowledgement indicating the time frame by which the response will be made to the applicant. 4. In case one of the attachment / document required as per the notification, the same should be obtained by the Department concerned itself instead of asking the applicant going to different Departments. 5. If the sanction is not feasible the rejection notice should contain specific mention of the omission needing the Department to reject the application / sanction. 6. No public should be asked to appear before the Official for any discussion / debate. 7. In case of any misrepresentation the applicant should be punished or reprimanded depending upon the gravity of the offense. These will reduce the corruption to a great extant though cannot be eliminated altogether. Hariharan, Chennai more
Absolutely correct. stringent punishments and system based out put monitoring ,time bound actions completion target and strict work discipline only will help root out corruption. for this we need to change the constitution where in lot of changes to be made. 1) Recall of elected representative if they don't perform as per minimum requirements or as per the peoples expectation. 2) Stop reservation based on caste/religion. Only economic downgrades shall be eligible for reservation. 3) more accountability in government services and failing should be punishable with immediate retrenchment. No immunity for any level. more
Above ALL, my point is : The political authority should limit itself to Policy framing / decision and the Design/Implementation part should be left to the Bureaucrats on complete accountability. Again the political class along with the Civil society may be involved in monitoring. Then only the Point/ Source of Corruption can be identified & the culprit fixed. Even then, there's still a mute point about our judiciary & its Justice delivery system !!! more
