Round off amount charges by zomato
It's been quite sometime that I have started noticing that zomato adds a round off amount to the charges levied upon an order. These round off amounts are not justified. These amounts are usually added when there are delivery charges levied. I don't understand the necessity of this. Bit by bit this amount can turn into a lumpsome amount which is really not cool for me.. more

Though there is nothing wrong in rounding off, the total sum where there is large volume of bills, add upto a big sum, which is pocketed by the seller/trader. more

There is nothing wrong in rounding off the amount to the nearest rupee, which is allowed by laws. more

Mr. M M Alam has explained very well. Suppose, bill amount is Rs. 78.69. Will customer pay 69 paisa? If bill amount is Rs. 78.34 and if it rounded off to Rs. 79, then it is wrong. However, if billed amount is paid through card / internet banking, I have not experienced any rounding off. more

You are considering only your case. Just think the number of customers paying such rounded off extra amount to such companies which will be in some lakhs. more
