Rules for accomodation aggregators

Seems like checks and balances are missing in India for these new age businesses like oyo. To check in to hotels people required ids but here seems like nothing is asked for or what.

Urge consumer ministry and tourism ministry to set proper rules for governance of this sector.

Production of Ids at hotels prior to check-in was made compulsory for security reasons. It is surprising as to how this rule could be flouted by any hotel establishment. The concerned authority should immediately look into this and initiate punitive action against the concerned. more
Yes, consumer ministry and tourism ministry to set proper rules for governance of this sector. more
I fully agree. the check-in and check-out be 24 hours duration but not midnight-/ noon. more
Good point raised by members. One more issue needs to be added, the check in n check out times for hotels. Even if one has book room in any hotel, though you reach there in the early morning hours, n the hotel checking time is 12noon, what will you do? Same is the case for check out time, if your train or flight is at evening or night,,either you have to vacat the room by 12noon or pay extra for that day. This needs to be corrected n all hotels in Our country should be directed to keep 24 hrs check in check out timings at no extra charge. Jai Hind more
I agree. Oyo hotels are mushrooming every where and it is high time that tourism ministry formulate rules and regulations. Leave aside security risk, the consumers are also taken for a ride taking the advantage of lack of rules and regulations. Complaint to the consumer court will draw a blank as there is no set rules for such hotel accommodation. An immediate action will be highly appreciated. more
