RUPAY Cards with very low transaction charges must be issued and made mandatory for all merchants who accept card payments. These cards will prevent flow of lot of money to VISA or MASTER to foreign countries. RUPAY debit cards should be very attractive to merchants with low transaction charges and immediate payment. more

I ask Bank for Rupay Debit card but Bank officials said that withdrawal Limit for RUPAY is very less and that for VISA is 2 lac per day, so for premium customers we give VISA card and it is acceptable worldwide. This Limit stuck me while purchasing Laptop online worth 60,000/- Payment from Account with Rupay debit card was failed due to limit so it was made through alternate arrangements. more

I tried to get a corporate credit card from SBI. After a lot of emails, phone calls and a personal visit to the branch manager, I got a phone call stating that Corporate credit card will not be issued to small companies who want only 1 or 2 cards. Now most transactions are online and a credit card is needed. Netbanking does not work for those with merchant bank limits requiring an authorization to the transaction - essentially two authorizations for one transaction. The transaction always fails. How will digital India progress with such short sighted policies by the government run banks. I asked for this refusal in writing, but was denied. more

I am trying to get a Rupay card from some of the public sector banks I have accounts with as replacement for my Visa cards but none of them seem to be interested. more

Such mandates at National interest only will save Indian Economy from regular misuse and loot too . more
