Russian invasion of Ukraine

Will likely have major consequences on India from a price of oil standpoint. If this escalates and becomes broader conflict we are looking at major impact in prices.

We should also discuss what India’s approach should be as a group. Just supporting Russia even if Putin is wrong does not make too much sense.

Also note that if world doesn stop this Putin soon China could take over Taiwan and eye Indian territory. more

Yes Russian President is cleaver to thank the PM to get his aggression as justified as India has not opposed or condemned it. more
Take machine Gun & go to border. writer is big thank thinker. Should made pakistan chief or AF chief. more
Take into precedence also the fact that See in 1994, Ukraine had gave up her built nuclear stockpile after the Budapest accord, in return for security guarantees by the US, Europe and Russia! Then this is what Russia does to Ukraine! India remains ambivalent. Condemnation of Russia's attack was required and when the voting happened regarding this, India abstained! Putin too clever by half when thanks our prime minister for remaining neutral! more

It seems like a strong Russia in Asia might help keep China in control and might be in India's interests. Nice analysis by Swarajya: https://swarajyamag.com/world/indias-interests-lie-more-with-russias-rise-than-commiserating-with-ukraine Also, as per a forward doing the rounds, it seems in the past Ukraine has taken a stance that was unfavourable for India. Then it seems it would be best to go with a party who has proved itself as a friend in the past. more
