Rusting of Sanitary Fittings
Friends, what is the best solution to prevent rusting of sanitary fittings. Some of our good quality fittings are getting rust. Is there a liquid or something that can be applied to them once a month or so...I am sure many have faced this problem. more

Now a days sanitary fittings are coated with chromium coatings that is anti rusting. Branded manufacturer are using this technique. more

Use WD 40 spray for jammed parts or even for jammed screws, nut bolts etc. For GI fittings clean with Kerosene and apply antirust paint . For sanitary fittings keep these clean and dry and no rust will form on those. Even a thin film of petroleum jelly on the taps etc will prevent it from corrosion. more

Need to use a metal polish like Brasso on the sanitary fittings and rub it till the rust is removed . Regular wiping with dry cloth will do keep the fittings rust free. First time professional help is advisable. Sent from BlackBerry® on Airtel more

Sanitary fittings are supposed to be made of stainless steel. This does not rust. I guess the fittings in question are made of plated steel, that's the only way it will rust. You need to replace these with either stainless steel or stone/ ceramic/ toughened glass. I am surprised to hear about this quality problem from a place like Vipul Greens. I would suggest you bring it to the builder's notice. more

There are many products which protect sanitary products from rust. Use Force1 products. Check in multi stores. Need to use once in a month. Rusted parts need to replace only. more
