Sacrifice of senior citizens

The covid16 lockdown and revival of economy are based on sacrifice of senior citizens interest. Most of their concessions and subsidies were withdrawn and interest rate on Bank FD reduced. This was a double hit. No sacrifice by politicians and govt servants. Businessman could get so many reliefs in the name of economic revival package.
All concessions and subsidies suspended may be restored now for senior citizens without any delay. As senior citizens form 30% strong vote bank making them comfortable is a good political decision also. more

Current Govt thinks that Senior Citizens are Liability to the Nation. Also they do not form an Important Vote Bank, because the are scattered all over India. They do not want to give any Rebate/Concessions to Senior Citizens. On the Contrary they want to withdraw/reduce what ever has been given to them. more
The Concession should be allowed once or twice in a year for only Sr. citizens having income less than Rs. 3.00 Lakhs Per annum. No Concession should be granted for wealthy Old Peoples who are taking pension more than 20,000 per month. Rly. or Any transport mode should be act as a corporate. Are Private airlines providing the concessions to sr. citizens ? If You want facility you must pay the money. This Freebie , Subsidy policies should be get away. are you pressurising Govt. over Vote bank ???? more
Yes, railway concessions to the senior citizens and appropriate (as previously was being paid) subsidy on LPG must be restored forthwith. more
They can design double deck sleeper coaches. more
Yes, government has not done anything to restore the benefits at least for senior citizens, and in particular who do not earn any pension or live annuity on which return is very meager. All current annuities give only return around 5%. Government has turned deaf ear to all related issues raised. Certainly LC must raise this issue with the government at least to raise the interest rates for senior citizen related schemes, to meet with the current inflation. Interest rates on all small savings schemes should get adjusted to inflation for senior citizens in particular. Pension and other freebies enjoyed by representatives to Parliament & assemblies must be discontinued with immediate effect. Similarly posts of President, Vice President Governors & Lt. Governors must be abolished forthwith and this will greatly enhance the balance of the exchequer. Again all wasteful expenditures must be identified and stopped immediately. more
