My view is what ever the GOVT may try GREED / LUST/JEALOUSY /INTENTION OF HARMING OTHERS AND MANY ILL MOTIVES CANNOT BE CONTROLLED UNLESS THE BRAINS ARE EDUCATED BY 'HUMANITY THOUGHTS' AND THATS POSSIBLE ONLY BY CHANGING EDUCATION SYSTEM AND EDUCATION 'INDIAN PHILOSOPHY TO ONE AND ALL' 'SATYAMEBA JAYATE ' WAS QUOTED FROM THAT PHILOSOPHY BY NEHRU BUT HE COULD NOT IMPLEMENT IT! 'DHARMANG BRIDDHING JATATANG KURUSWA" IS ANOTHER AND 'DHARMA' IS PERFORMED MORE BY TREATING ALL LIVING BEINGS AS MANIFESTATIONS OF GOD - CHEATINGS WILL STOP! THERE ARE MANY OTHERS NOT KNOWN TO A PERSON LOOKING LIKE MAN BUT BEHAVING WORSE THAN ANIMALS! more
For Cadbury imposing fine a very lenient matter. How this product became unfit for human consumption the plant should be held responsible. Company takes a view that shop keeper did not store item as required or sold old stock after expiry date. Whom you can hold accountable. more
Consumer forum can impose fine only and order to compensate the consumer. However the consumer must complaint to FSSAI and also draw samples under Section 40 of FSSA and can get tested fro Laboratory to prove that it was fit or unfit for consumption for human beings. Only then higher fine or criminal proceeding can be initiated and imprisonment provision is there under FSSA 2006 more
Financial impact now a days is immaterial as is kept in costing and recovered. A very wrong approach by authorities. more
Authorities already at the opted practice of compensating to those who seriously protest . more
There is incomplete corrective and no preventive action, has entry made in records of responsible control and assurance officials in department? Was recall procedure followed? Was system in place was audited? more
You rightly put it . more
It is one example only. Let there be quick decision on complaints, then such companies will be careful. more
