Safety of Children in Schools
Yesterday's incident of the murder of a 7 year old child in a school washroom at Ryan International School Gurgaon comes as a big shock to the parent community and even more shocking is the lack of accountability by school management.
With this post we seek very specific inputs from you on what should be very specific rules for security in schools, access of contract staff like drivers, conductors to child areas and toilets, protocols for school buses and other related items. The objective is to form very clear do's and dont's that must be instituted by every school with parent bodies monitoring it. Also what role should central government ministries, state government and local district administration play in ensuring the same is implemented on the ground.

CBI proved on 9=11=17 that this Boy was murdered by his Co-student of 11th class ie., 16 years aged requiring the need of responsibilities of Parents & Teaching authorities debarring those negligent, arrogant, aggressive, and disobedient . This only can redress all sorts of menace to Women and Children in the Country . Strict Codes and Regulations also necessary leading punishment of TEN YEARS imprisonment including Heavy penalty to the Parents of the concerned . The washroom in every school must be kept separate fr girls and boys.the girls washrooms must be shared with female teachers and the boys washrooms should be shared with male teachers.In every washroom area an attendant or a security must be provided.ie fr girls washroom a female attendant must be provided and this should be same fr boys washrooms. more

There should be periodic audits and review meetings setup as mandatory for all schools. Transparency should be maintained between parents and the school management. Such audits and meetings should be conducted by a representative of the parents.. the audit panel should change periodically.. so it is unbiased. This Audit results should have role play in school's performance. This should be encouraged by the board what has affiliated the school more

A well-defined area should be earmarked for stay/movement of non teaching staff having separate toilets etc. It may be ensured to minimize the interaction of them with children. Girl students may be interacted by female staff only. more
