Today, i happened to help a Senoir Citizen in Chennai to bring Ration from a near-by Fair price shop. I was surprised to notice that these Fair price outlets designated by TN Govt. are forcing consumers to buy open market products at a really high price. Example - Channa Dal being sold at RS. 100/ KG. The important aspect than the price itself is the packed Channa Dal NOT having MRP printed. How can a Fair price shop (designated by Govt. agency) sell open market product (Forcefully to consumers) without MRP being mentioned? Need advise. more
At CHENNAIs, CMBT KOYAMBEDU, MADRAI's MATTU THAVANI BUS STATIONS are examples where selling above MRP happens at all shops more
Any service charges above MRP should not exeed 5%. more
In train most of the time water bottle sold more then MRP. Packed snacks sold more then MRP. more
