Salient Features of Premium Tatkal (PT) Quota booking on Dynamic Pricing
• New quota as Premium Tatkal (PT) Quota is being introduced by Railway with dynamic fare
pricing.
• Dynamic fare stands for the fare component which may be increased with the subsequent
bookings.
• Opening days booking to be allowed on/after 10:00 hrs.
• Advance Reservation Period (ARP) of Premium Tatkal ticket booking is same as Tatkal ticket
booking.
• Agents will not be allowed to book tickets in this quota.
• Dynamic fare shall be charged for confirm passengers.
• RAC/ Waitlist Ticket Booking is not allowed.
• Only E-tickets will be permitted for booking.
• I-ticket Booking is not allowed with this Quota.
• No concession shall be applicable in this Quota.
• Child passenger will be charged with full fare.
• Identity card number of the prescribed proof of identity is required at the time of booking.
At least one passenger should travel with his/her ID card in original which was used at the
time of booking.
• No refund is given to passengers in case of cancellation of confirm PT quota ticket.
• All rules for tatkal quota booking over internet is applicable to Premium Tatkal quota also. more

has anybody idea that how much money railways make every day x 365 days by the way of giving reservations -( confirm & in waiting) in advance by 60 days. hell of money without any interest is being used by rlys . what you get on a day of travel a berth in a dirty coach with extra passengers accompanying you most of time, 3 rd rated food, loot by illegal vendors, fear of theft etc the list is pretty long. pocketing the cancellation charges for numerous cancellations is another income. for which rlys again get new passengers and the earning goes on till the train departs. despite having this big advantage poor passengers are at the receiving end. let someone work out the enormous working capital earned in advance by the rlys every day and still they want to have dynamic pricing. dear fellows you are not doing any great favours to country men pl set your house in order. more

The Tatakal and Premium Tatkal are very apt innovative measures to provide room and cater to the last minute/ urgent / emergency passengers without allowing unethical leakage of Revenue to the Indian Railways and checking corrupt Clerks/ Ticket checkers and the disgusting hanging on of passengers to them through compartment after compartment begging and pleading. more

first let railways make adequate trains available for passengers, there is huge gap between demand and supply. keeping this gap wide open and then introducing dynamic fares for tatkal is one way corruption. rlys should worry about eliminating the existing corruption prevalent from board member to TC. more

In my opinion the new rates fixed for tatkal. for different timings is not war rented. It is one way of Black market dealing conducted by the Govt.I am sorry to say this. more
