I am pleased to learn now lot of people are sharing their views and suggestion on the subject. good very good. I do not know whether it will be help full or not. But still feel - to contribute my experience in respect of three major problems of Delhi and perhaps - India. Traffic discipline, Solid waste disposal, pollution, basic - facilities of life - education, health, security etc. Traffic - people may not agree - but what is the harm of trying. Say - 6 months or so. If results are appreciated by the people on the road can be extended / modified or scarped, as we have or perhaps planning to scrape BRT. (I am not sure what it is called). AK curtained the power of police force, as they are corrupt. May be right. But I want - those responsible for smooth traffic - have their only say. If we are not being killed on road - I am happy. Autos mean - step in and step out - no bargaining - no good excuses like - wife calling, no gas, curfew in area I want to go. No red light jumping / wrong side driving etc etc. If caught - be prepared to pay bribe and perhaps very very heavily. Win win situation - Sarkar - they will have lot of recruits ready to work on little or no public money. Money available for Sarkar and welfare schemes Auto man since they are disciplined and made to so. I will not call my driver 50 kms - to bring me from New Delhi station, a new class of customer will be added. And most importantly - man on the road. Solid disposal - present scheme - auto coming to your door step. GOOD, VERY GOOD. KEEP IT UP. BUT LOT OF IMPROVEMENTS ARE REQUIRED. I can give lots of ideas. It is my favorite subject - as I am a trained - Chemical Engineer - for me nothing is waste - every thing is made of C, H, O, N or some major or minor elements. As far as I understand revenue is collected by the sarkar and given to all the pillars of developments - like CSIR, NPL, ARI, DRDO, BARC, AMIIS. They are always short of funds. You know, principle of gravity was discovered in bath room - my scientist friends, would agree - present day air plain, ships are still using the same principle. In nut shall - you do not know about scientist - idea will come any time, any where - you have to grab that opportunity. You can not wait for funds of Sarkar - if at all they will come. I thing my feelings are getting long and long - you know - 45 years of confinement. So I just cut short all the feelings. Thanks for reading which is so absurd. more
