Salute to National Flag
Some one said that It is not mandatory to salute National flag while singing National Anthem . I am confused . How it is possible ?
Please confirm whether it is mandatory to salute National Flag during singing National Anthem OR Not ?
Please confirm whether it is mandatory to sing National Anthem by all Government official , leaders & Citizen during 15 August & 26 Jan program OR Not ?
Whether the rule about singing National Anthem & saluting National Flag changes with Religion in our Country ?

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised seeing it from our present day leaders across party lines BUT THIS ONE IS FALSE PROPAGANDA WITH SOUND SUPERIMPOSED ON A NORMAL DISCOURSE VIDEO. I feel even artificially creating such a video is also demeaning national anthem. more

When National Anthem is played, it is mandatory to rise and stand in attention position as a mark of respect to your motherland. People who are in services and are in Uniform ( even kids in NCC dress ) can salute the flat after the national anthem is sung. During growing up years we used to have proper celebration in school and also take the pledge: "India is my country, all Indians are my brothers and sisters, I love my country & am proud of its rich heritage.." but once you are grown up, the seeds of caste-ism, religion & other man created division become a diversion... In the 60's & early 70's.. the national anthem would be beamed on screen after the movie ends but people would move around and would be in hurry to leave so the court took notice and stopped the screening of the national anthem. Now again the old patriotism is being enforced and there was an unfortunate incident of a disabled person being hit as the people mistook his not standing up and got carried away by the false sense of patriotism. This is more damaging and degrading our social fabric all the more. Patriotism comes from the heart and for that you need to have all sections of people of the society taken along with you. more

This is why , Schools and Colleges shall me made mandatory to continue the practice of daily Assembly and imbibe National Anthem . This in deed form part of the Citizen Responsibilities set under Fundamental Duties through article 51 A .
In deed , the carried threats from neighboring Countries and the Terrorism from even others besides the Change in the Life attitude in Certain classes too , calls for this need . Of course , whenever we were hit , we have been only carried with the Songs of national spirit in Radio & T.V. , as an alternative but is to be changed to practice in Schools and College at least to re-instate . more
