Samsung Service

All the big named companies have their arrangements with local repairing centres naming them as the "Authorised Service Centre of such & such Co.", who do not have qualified technicians/mechanics and are unable to diagnose the real problems in the machines. With the result, they simply ask for change of certain costly parts to make it operative. Recently (at the beginning of the current summer) I called on the local Samsung Authorised Service Centre as my AC was not cooling. A mechanic had come to my place and carried some tests with the metre in his hand and declared that the Compressor has become out of order and needs replacement. On enquiry he told the price of a new compressor as Rs.10,000/- with one year warranty only and wanted to have my consent for the replacement. Since I was not convinced and had smelled some foul game, I told him to call later. Next day morning I called a private service centre and the mechanic deputed had just observed the AC for a few minutes after switching on and changed a Capacitor. Immediately the AC started cooling and still the machine is working nicely. Similar thing happened in respect of my Samsung Fridge and I was made to spend Rs.3,300/- as its cooling system was not working properly. Such is the fate of the 'authorised service centres' of all the big companies. more

Some guy is repeatedly blaming the Indian Private sector. Pl note. There is Nothing Indian. Nothing private sector. Govts are worse. And, this stems from Western corporate methods. Nothing Indian at all. See how the local vegetable seller opens his shop at 7 sharp every day, rain or shine, happily indulges your bargaining, takes back bad veggies on your word, smiles and tells you you can pay later. That is Indian. more
True almost all the big brand companies have arrangement/appointed some local unqualified person to run in their name so called Service Centres to fleece their cosumers which is big fraud. Concerned departments of Government who shout lot about cosumer protection should have check on them and take detterant measures to stop this malpractice. They should ensure that only genuine Service Centres who have qualified technicians for service of products are allowed to run. more
I had similar experiences like as Mr. Ranjit Biswas. The so called Samsung service center deputed one Service Engineer to my place when I complained for my Refrigerator. I spent 5200/- + 3450/- + 6500/-....3 Times.
I spent 17000/- for my Samsung TV repair as it's out of order just 5 days after the warranty period. The so called Service Engineer made a deal with me by phone as I was out of town. He replaced a parts first and told my wife that it's ok now. After I came back home, my wife complained that....TV not working. I tried to call Service Center (Koper Khairne-Navi Mumbai) and that Service Engineer but nobody respondent. Next day I called the Refrigerator Service Engineer and he managed to send one Engineer who asked me to pay 7500/- for the job. We are helpless though we knew that these peoples are cheating because of our busy life and make happy to our spouse.
Once you purchase those Electronic Items, the sellers/Dealers responsibility limit finished. If you complain to them for any fault in the Product, they will show you the Service Center location....that's all.
What we should do....where we can go for the justice??????? more
There is no such thing as an Authorized Service Center. If you ask for copy of certification the response you will get is that I will send it after he has collected the money. To be a successful business man, you need to be a crook first then go to school of Scoundrels. Even a Hooker/ Gigolo is a service provider. Ask her/him what warranty you get? She will tell you go and get an HIV test. The Indian Government is full of these hookers too more
You are wrong. As I said earlier, all the branded companies have their authorised service centres only in lieu of their own service centres. if needed, you may have get it confirmed from any of their dealers. more
I purchased Galaxy S7 Edge in Jan, 2017. At that time it was the top end mobile of Samsung. But just after completion of one year, after the warrant period, the mobile went dead. I took it to their service center. They told me that the mother board has gone out of oreder and needs change. They ask for Rs.13500 as charges for the mother board. But they were not ready to give any warranty. So, without any repair I brought back the mobile. Samsung has become a worse company. They have compromised on the quality of the product. more
Same with me Samsung Tablet Sim Tray Missing even when it has not been given to anybody for service .Samsung AC with Compressor Working but not cooling They don't service old models parts not available more
now where is consumer forum? will they take any action or it is just a mediocracy? more
