Sanjay Leela Bansali's: Rani Padmavati controversy
A little known Group of fanatics who call themselves: Karni Sena is holding the Film Industry to ransom. They destroyed the sets when SLB was shooting in Rajasthan and he had to shoot the rest in Gujarat and he faced the ire of these hoodlums even in Mumbai. Both Maharashtra and Rajasthan are being ruled by BJP who has remained a silent spectator allowing criminals to run amok. One of the Karni activist who was on a channel in panel discussion went to the extent of saying that SLB should make a film on his mother instead of Padmavati. These same goons who go about as upholders of Rajput Community are missing when girls, ladies and even small children are raped almost daily in Rajasthan. I think the entire Film Industry should boycott this state and stop all releases in that state as also the shooting of films there. When the stark reality of poverty hits the state and its citizens, they will then realize that they have abused themselves wrongly. more

Apart from "social responsibility" one will agree that wrong projections under one or the other pretext is certainly not advisable nor acceptable. Should the same attempt is done in case of other religions, whether it is acceptable???? The French magazine incidents is a good example. Liberty of expression does not mean spitefulness OR wrong expressing under that pretext. Same rule/logic applicable to others as well, why then the Hue and Cry. more

'Liberty of expression does not mean spitefulness OR wrong expressing under that pretext.' is Lawfully correct. Film industry is seconding TV industry and TV industry is inspired by Film industry.
Only Supreme Court can definitely pass Verdict on ' Freedom of Expression ' which earlier confined the duty of media in their three different Judgments which do not support or allow to carry such.
Leaving off the issue of Comments on Castes, Communities also in Printed Matters to the conscience of the Writer is to be thought at the public safety and interest and, the prime issue of Fraternity . more

Hello...just saw your comment in the New Year...so you seem to be either the supporter of the fringe element or may be one of them. What is a Movie? Can't people irrespective of their region and caste have 3 hours of entertainment? I could send you Arnab Goswami's frank assessment of the movie Padmavati...SLB agreed to many cuts just because he wanted to give a pure entertainment. The efforts of all crew and leading stars...History has been twisted many times over and perhaps you grew up with a wrong syllabus. Just take an opinion poll and you will be surprised even many progressive Rajasthani's and REAL RAJPUTS would definitely want to see the movie. more

This is the lenience and a method opted for dilution of Hiduism and increase of neglect & conversion rate. The GOI negligence on controlling Conversion other than on the real Belief & follow of other Religions AND, gross negligence in arresting the practice of indulging in Hindu Religious ancient Belief and followed Practices by those who converted out to Christianity .

Everybody have some social responsibility. These film industry people sell everything for money. Freedome of speech means is not to insult ones faith. Rajsthan has a glorious past to be proud of to standup against foreign Muslim attackers. And every Indian irrespective of their cast or religion should respect it including Sanjay Leel Bhansali. more
