Saurav Ganguly suffered a Heart Attack

3 major blood vessels were found to be blocked in an otherwise healthy individual.

He suffered a blackout during Gym Exercises at his home

He was taken in time to the hospital & Golden Hour was Not lost

Ganguli is 48 years only & being a cricketer must be used to heavy exercises & must be careful about his eating habits.

Exercise regime,along with good dietary habits may not be responsible for a sudden heart attack and may be genetic factors are the cause of inherent higher levels of Bad Cholesterol,to be the cause multiple blockages.

He had blockages in 3 coronary arteries & Stents were used to clear away the blockages.

He is stable now,in less than 24 hours after suffering from a blackout/ heart attack at home.

He suffered a Myocardial infarction MI (heart attack) while exercising on a treadmill

MI means that muscles of the heart are partially damaged.

Luckily the heart has huge network of collaterals as tiny blood vessels & they open up to take over the Extra work load, due to blocked blood vessels.

Future course of management will be decided soon.

May He Be Blessed with years of good health.

Entire nation is praying for his speedy recovery.

Lessons for others to be learnt --

Gyms are mushrooming in Delhi/NCR and other places,without taking into account the eligibility of the personnel managing these places.

Do these Gyms have educated trainers ?

People are made to do more difficult exercises,than their system can take.

Herd mentality prevails & individuality of the person is Not taken into account.

Each one among us have been through different kinds of childhoods.

Exercising during childhood through cycling/ PT exercises at schools/ running around the home etc are deciding factors about how much of exercise,our body can take during our adulthood.

We are careful about our eating habits.

Why do we get careless,while in the gym ?

Overenthusiam & in a hurry to get a perfect body ?

I am sure that person like Saurav was Not Doing More Exercise than he could Tolerate.

He, being a cricketer must be aware about his own limits & this is the reason to have a gym at home.

It is a lesson for others,who are at mercy of gym trainers,promising them the moon in the form of body beautiful.

Doctor falling and losing his may be due to several other reasons. Walking is better than jogging as get older. Of course over indulgence in anything is harmful. Sometimes people may conclude walking is bad. For those who can not exercise or do yoga walking is the best exercise. Each individual and health conditions are different. Gym trainers are not health experts. As you said the individual should assess his or condos and may also check with the doctor before any vigorous gym or exercise. You are responsible for yourself. Regular gym, exercise and walking and swimming is very healthy combined with healthy food. A person could die if natural causes while walking. more  
Recently we lost a doctor who was a regular for morning walks Doctor fell in the garden and there was no time to revive him Another young man who lost his life inside the gym while exercising and he was a regular athletic person There's a mushrooming of gyms Trainers are knowledgeable and demanding people want their results in weight loss programs Where to draw the line,specially when dietary supplements are used for weight reduction? Do your own research Never compare with others Walking in the park can be safer provided person eats well and takes sufficient calories more
