This group has a very narrow vision. Stop giving USA examples, countless schools are open in USA without any issues. Your USA example is based on badly manages cities and states by the local governments and not whole of US. You can not lock children up. This group is financially well to do. Its members have ability to help and tutor children along with all the comforts of home and latest technology. Millions of children in India do not have that luxury and parents do not have skills or knowledge to help the children. These children need to get back to school and parents need to get back to work with all possible precautions. more
You have to choose between the lesser devil. Either loss of years or not loosing the year by taking proper precautions. more

Schools to open from 15 Oct 20 - My take. The average increase of infected persons is around 75000 cases in a day in India. The cases are being reported from every region. In fact now is the time for Lock down but Government has already burnt her fingers by crossing the bridge before it arrived. The economy was hit hard and government also ended up with spending huge amount. Now the government does not want to take risk . Everything is being opened to boost economy and Tax collection to be precise. The plan to open schools from 15 Oct 20 is part of it that will put kids to risk. The USA experimented with this. The cases doubled in two weeks. Hence they had close schools again. They forget on an average one kid comes in close contact with at least 10 people and the next 10 with next and so on they multiply. For government you are just a number even if tomorrow you are part of news but for family you are their world. more
