School safety
School Safety can not and should not be left to school authorities alone. My children have passed college, and my grandchildren are not in India. Yet, whenever I pass a school. I stop for 2-3 minutes and observe. My observations: 1. Many parents send kids packed 6 and 7 in an autorickshaw. The driver while helping small children touch them inappropriately. 2. They can not cross the road safely. 3. Even where school buses are available, some do not have conductors or ayahs in case of girls schools. 4. The drivers often take off even before child has climbed in to bus.
My question is how can parents abdicate their responsibility. Why are PTAs not monitoring their child's schools. more

Crux of the problem is even after monitoring and reports to police and investigating agencies nothing happens! How do we solve this? We have dance bars, prostitution rackets, drug joints next door to schools but the administration turns a blind eye in return for favour and money from anti socials probably more

Safety is not only concerned to a few, it concerns to all parties repeat all parties involved in one type of activity. As for example a safety for the school going children. Safety start trailing from the moment a child is out from home to school, in school itself and when a child returns from the school to home. Parents at home, transporter on the way and school in the school are accountable of all safety.. Moreover Safety is under the cover of two aspects: 1. UNSAFE CONDITIONS AND 2. UNSAFE ACT. All stake holders have to design a road map how to keep " Safety First" as their first targets of operation under the unsafe conditions and under the unsafe acts. For the unsafe conditions , Parents, School and transporters have to create a situation that safety of children are not jeopardized knowing that children are innocent and their behavior are more spontaneous and playful. Create conditions and environment accordingly For the Unsafe Acts, all stakeholders have to see that Do's and Don't in the movement of Children are enforced with full monitoring not casually. Government must make it mandatory for all Public and Private School's and College's in India to install CCTV camera in class room's, in School /College premises and at entrance and same should be linked with Government Educational Department so that Government can easily monitor the Teacher's if involved in child abuse case and any criminal activity conducted in School or College premise's. The CCTV can also be linked with local Police Stations using advance technology and can be used for online digital surveillance to keep a Tab on crime in School premises. If Roads can be monitored using CCTV camera 24/7 then Why not Schools/ Colleges. The video footage can be used as proof to lodge case against teacher's and criminals under Child Protection Act. हिंदुस्तान मे नियम बनाए ही जाते है तोड़ने के लिए - आज एक जघन्य अपराध हुआ और हम जाग गए पर कितने दिन के लिए -क्या सभी अभिभावक उस विद्यालय से अपने बच्चों को हटाने को तैयार है ? हम सिर्फ सरकार पर ज़िम्मेदारी दाल कर बारी नहीं हो सकते है ? हमे action मे आना होगा और पूरे हिंदुस्तान मे इस स्कूल की सभी शाखाओ से अपने बच्चो को हटाना होगा तब जा कर बाकी स्कूल कुछ करेंगे अन्यथा वे 4 दिन देखेंगे और उसके बाद फिर पुराना ढर्रा ? रेयान स्कूल के मालिक को बच्चे के मौत की चिंता नहीं उन्हे अपनी सुरक्षा चाहिए तो उच्च न्यायालय चले गए - सरकार जांच की लीपापोती करेगी और 4 दिन बाद हम भूल जाएँगे ?अब एक प्रश्न हमे अपने से पूछना होगा -क्या हम बच्चों को समय देते है ,क्या उनसे स्कूल मे उनके साथ क्या हुआ क्या नहीं की जानकारी लेते है यदि नहीं तो हम अपने कर्तव्य से विमुख है और अपने बच्चे की ज़िम्मेदारी उठाने मे असमर्थ है ? यदि बच्चा 3 वर्ष से ऊपर का है तो मान को उसे यह बताना चाहिए की पीठ,छाती, मुह ,होंठ ,जननांग या शरीर के किसी हिस्से को कोई न छूये चाहे खेल मे न मज़ाक मे ,न घर मे न बाहर ,न पापा,न दादा,न चाचा, न मामा , न बुआ ,न न कोई रिश्तेदार ,न कैब वाले भैया ,न रीक्षे वाले अंकल ,न पड़ोस वाले अंकल -यानि कोई नहीं तो कोई नहीं और यदि कोई छूटा है तो घर पर मान को बताओ और इसके लिए संबंध मित्रवत होना चाहिए जिससे बच्चा आपसे सब कुछ कह सके । more
