Scrap Sale Funds Use for Bribery
Cash generated by scrap sales as identified by some of you is utilized by many manufacturers to pay bribes and speed money. Below are some of your suggestions on how scrap sales can be regulated. Transparency International India
1. Each state should authorize certain number of scrap dealers to buy scrap/left over materials from builders/manufacturers
2. A helpline should be created where people can report any manufacturer selling scrap for cash
3. Entrepreneurs should be encouraged to start e-scrap buying websites and make a business model around it
4. Industrial scrap dealers must be asked to keep a record of what they buy and who they buy it from
5. The scrap should be auctioned and the payment should be made through DD/cheque
6. Stores and stock should be maintained in SAP to identify the scrap generated during production and installation
7. A technical evaluation about scrap generation of a most industries should be conducted so that generation of scrap could be assessed on an average basis and the same information should be made available for tax authorities. more

High end large scale corruption and money laundering need to be targeted on war footing. I do not understand as to why no action has been initiated to disqualify Mr. Vijaya Mallaya from the membership of Rajya Sabha and no action has been taken to seize his diplomatic passport. I do not know as to why an interpole alert has not been envisaged to bring him to the country to face the court of law. more

in targeting corruption you should adopt the ABC analysis and target areas like real estate, etc where corruption is paramount. do you think state will pass laws on scrap handling. we already have so many laws and introducing one more will not help manufacturing, who already have to deal with so many govt agencies. more
