Seat map should be displayed at the time of online booking and there should be option for choosing seat no. at the time of booking. more

Actually this is not possible bcoz coaches r allocated as per the quota of stations. also there r few seats which r allocated to special people like BELOW BEARTH allocated to female travelling alone aged above 40 or above 65 aged man etc. Also side lower seats r kept for RAC. So technically, the system books ticket together if there are empty seats and if ur family is booking seats together on 1 PNR. So even if u ppl think of choosing seats, this is not feasible. Well IRCTC still give u option for choosing seats as lower, middle, n also booking in a perticular coach if u know tht ur frnds n family r travelling in particular coach than u can choose that particular coach for booking.... If it wil be available, it will book or else will ask u to cancel or book as per the system more

If option for choosing seat no. is open, family / group can seat together and they can enjoy journey by railway. Impact if option for choosing seat no. is open - 1. No need to request to other passengers to change their seat. 2. Can enjoy journey peacefully. more
