We need to curtail these activity at least now, otherwise we in India will never do it. Inda was attacked by these infiltrators since appro 400AD till 1947 and also continued during our rule. Let us awake at least now. more

I agree that this should have been done long ago but at least some forward looking step has been initiated to curb problem of illegal migrants. declare my unconditional support for CAA and NRC to maximise utilisation of resources instead of being pandered on illegal immigrants. We must also oppose the present mayhem being organised by the vested interest for Vote Bank Politics without thinking the future of the country. more

The issue of infiltration is about 70 years old. The first time, infiltrators from Pak came to India in 1947/48. This resulted into riots. The second time, infiltrators came from Bangla Desh in 1971. This resulted into economic burden of 5 paise for any transaction on any and every transaction for long periods. Not one party talked about their return. Congress was the only party with sizeable strength in the Parliament. After both these infiltrations, the refugees were not returned back to their country of origin. Citizens bore the brunt of these refugees from their taxes and politicians had only to gain votes. These refugees became inseparable from the Indian masses in these 70 years and it is now impossible to segregate them. They have already become unauthorised vote banks in 1947 and increased their strength in 1971. With corruption, a few hundred rupees could get you government documents for identifications. No government earlier, made any effort to at least enumerate them, let alone deport them. After 70 years, children of infiltrators have become eligible by birth for citizenship. Majority of seniors may have expired. So what are we really talking about? Why should the children not be given citizenship when by birth? Politicians of every hue and colour want to encash on some irrelevant issues for votes and we are readily succumbing to their evil designs. Nothing more, nothing less. more
