Selenium in wheat and people turn bald

Over 300 individuals in Buldhana, Maharashtra, experienced sudden and severe hair loss, traced to wheat supplied through India’s Public Distribution System. Investigations by Padma awardee Dr. Bawaskar revealed dangerously high levels of selenium in the wheat, with some samples containing up to 145 times the safe amount. This contamination has raised serious concerns about food safety and public health, with affected villagers seeing hair regrowth as the crisis subsides. Urgent regulation and awareness regarding food quality are now essential.

Can LocalCircles please take this up and bring the subject of food adulteration and contamination in limelight. more

In India, govt does not find much difference between human beings and animals as the population is huge. The food Regulators must test all eatables and consumables on regular basis like USFDA and award severest punishment to wrong doers. Non performing and corrupt employees be dismissed from service every month. more
