Thank you for inputs on dual MRP at bustands more
In the state of Gujarat, particularly in Surat, All milk vendors charge Rs 1 extra on all milk pockets. It can be verified any day by buying a milk pocket in the morning from the authorized sellers in the streets. more
Similar practices is also in Bangalore. The major supplier 'Nandini' is well aware of such practices. more
From Sandeep Jain Bannerghatta national park, before some 100mtrs from main gate, on the left side, v b pushpanand stores. And all shops at the place carry on the same practice.19/- Mrp water Bottle, sold fr 25/- at a shop outside tourist spot. How far is this reasonable? more
Same is the case in Raipur. 99% shop keepers are selling Amul milk packets of 500 ML each @Rs.22/- against MRP of Rs.21/-. Further, if the restaurant walas can charge 4 to 8 times of MRPs of these products, there is nothing wrong for the poor petty shop keepers to charge a few rupee more above MRPs. The Department should first set right the irregularities prevailing in the luxury & other restaurants and hotels with firm hands. more
Sir, a chor is a chor whether big or small no matter. Honesty is the best policy more
Nandini milk is being sold in the market in Bangalore city charging Rs. 2/- per litre more than MRP. The complaint was taken up before the packers and the response from Nandini is quoted below: "Thanks for the mail and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Nandini is Cooperative dairy where in it has more than 20 lakh farmer members. Sir, we supply milk through 1) Nandini authorized agents, who have to sell milk at MRP and they are offered margins for that. and 2) Through milk parlors where it is made available at MRP rate through out the day. The other place where milk sold is through shops and bakeries, Sir we feel you might have purchased the milk from the bakery who do not purchase milk directly from us. They store milk and charge more than MRP on whom we don’t have control and we are finding it difficult to restrain them. However we are referring this to our dairy in that area to check and report. Sir, just to appraise you which is not an excuse for us. The private dairies who have entered the market in the last one to two decades print a boosted MRP on the packet with 2 to 3 times more commission than what Nandini offers for the same quality of milk. For example Heritage milk MRP is Rs.18 for 500 ml milk where as Nandini MRP is Rs.15 for 520 Ml toned milk). Nandini being the preferred brand by many of consumers, these shop/bakery owners taking the shelter of the higher MRP of the private brand milk sell Nandini milk and exploit our customers. To overcome this problem We are giving more agencies to make milk available at near by places to consumer. We also offer agencies to these shop owners, few of them have taken agencies but many of them don’t come forward. The other way we are trying is by releasing a new milk variant Nandini Special Milk, which is specifically targeted to Shops and Bakeries. The Special milk offering more commission is supplied to shop keepers, so that they will sell it at MRP only. Further we have plans for opening milk parlors on franchisee basis in Bangalore so that milk and milk products are made available extensively. The idea is to ensure availability of the product at the printed price and also to offer better service Ours is a farmer’s organization which strives to do ethical business and is bounded to protect the consumers interest. You may kindly consider to visit us when you visit Bangalore next time and we are open for suggestions in this regard." Now any member in this group from Bangalore may like to submit their views about this problem. more
