Yes , like many other countries having paid tax to government for over 40 years during service or business. Senior citizens deserve special concession for travel atleast 4 times in a year . Limiting two times in 1st half of the year and other two in 2nd half of the year. Thus limit can compensate in mitigating railways overheads. more

The Sr. Citizen Concessions should be knocked out for wealthy Sr. Citizens who are drawing pensions & Other facilities from Govt. Rly has earned 3800 cores rupees just by avoiding this. It is big amount. Only Economically poor citizens, whose income less than Rs. 4.0 lakhs per annum should get Concession maxm. 2 times per year only in Sleeper class & Unreserved class, No any upper class concession is required. I am also sr. Citizen . The Mentality of Hindians is bad totally freebies minded. more

High time. Senior citzens deserve it! Railways increased it's freight earnings, post pandemic, therefore easily may resume giving senior citizen concessions. Railway stations navigation yet an ordeal. Make them better too, incentivising railway travel. First impression, a person gets entering one, the lasting impression. more
