Senior Citizen Friendly item

Like foreign countries , senior citizens should be given free pass . Invariably lower berths should be allotted to seniors. more

option is already there book only if the selected birth is available..but foricing is not right because in emergncy if they have to travel and no lower birth is available what will they do... With the kind of population we have people who are eathing our resources by producing more and more kids should be fined....so that atleast our next gen will not suffer more
I agree.Invariably lower berths should be allotted to seniors. They can avail the option of "book only if lower birth allotted". more
While I do not support idea of free pass as it tends to be misused as well as any thing free loses its respect & (we take it for granted ) but yes Senior Citizens should get respect Sr Citizens have fixed income no scope for increase while Budget always gives something to others Sr Citizens are neglected ( I do not know why)but to some extent their dproblems difficulties have been addressed in this Budget .Subsidies are doled out but a increase of even .05 % has never been thought by Govts in intrest rates as announced by 1 Jaswant Singh (Rs 6000 every quarter max on deposit of Rs 2.5 lacs approx then by Chidambaram on deposit of 15 lacs max some 6 yrs back While bringing various bills for minorities. just because they have no say or constitute miniscule vote bank Yet they are surviving . Delhi Metro was literally 1st to give Sr Citizens respect which is scrupulously enforced where even youngsters boys & girls give their seats to elders Sr Citizens survive despite neglect by Congress Govts over long yrs of rule in this age of nuclear families more
Support your idea totally. I have seen senior citizens struggling cause they were allotted the upper berth. If they are lucky, to find an accommodating person on the lower berth willing to interchange with them otherwise it's a nightmare. more
