Senior Citizens at a loss

Interest rates of small savings schemes have been continuously cut, affecting the poor

Senior Citizen Savings Account Scheme got 9.3% interest in 2015. Since then interest rates have been cut 6 times. Now it's 7.4%

And same time GST is being increased inflation is where it is. What should the seniors do to make ends meet?? more

CAN SOME BODY RAISE PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION ON THIS ISSUE. OR IT CAN BE A MASS COMPAIGN. more
No hope to have a better deal from such ruthless Govt. & leader in this regime. Once a leader is busy for his own comfort only how one can think for others? Today senior citizens are suffering from multi directions but no leader in govt. ever talked about it. It's so unfortunate. more
I had written to the PM as to what he will answer the Lord when his times comes - what benefits has he given to senior citizens who are bogged down by expenses and hardly any income to sustain. There was no reply. Local Circles should take it on as a priority to the PM, home minister and FM about this very serious issue. more
It is true Govt. pensioner will get more than Pvt. Employee. Mostly private employees depend on EPFO, where pension amount is meager, to say the least. I requested our circles earlier also to take up senior citizens issue to concerned on the following: 1. No change of interest to be affected from the date of investment. 2. The pension funds offered by LIC etc., should be for lifetime and not to be limited for 10 years, 3. The schemes like Post office Senior citizens savings etc., interest shall be fixed and for life time unlike the current 5 or 8 years. Again requesting our circles to take up the matter to senior officials concerned. Note: The members of Parliament and legislative are not bothered as they get pension and other benefits for 5 years of service. more
Local Circles should take up the issue of Senior Citizen with Government to get relief in rising inflation which includes Small Savings Schemes interest rates, Railway Concession etc. more
