Setting up of Letterboxes
At prominent places, letterboxes should be set-up to encourage the written communication culture for development of art and culture with literacy development. In Gurgaon ( Haryana) a part of NCR and a millenium city, as understand from Postal authorities, there is only one Post Office with full time service and all remaining POs are working half day for public and further post offices are at far of distances. There are number of sites reserved for post office buildings but plots are vacant and are encroached upon or wating for encroachment.
For real development of business, education, culture, community etc. it is necessary that communication facilities be easily & economically available to the public easily. Therefore, it is necessary that Letter-Boxes and Post-offices be set up with ful time service and few with evening/night service especially in a city which is working and famous for 24X7 working for international companies.
An urgent attention is necessary on this service for all authorities say administrator, commissioner, Post Master, Suptt. of post offices in Gurgaon district, chambers of commerce, industry, IT and ITES service associations etc. more

Post offices and post boxes shall be made available in easily visible places.Postal department has to improve their Speed Post service drastically to check the growth of private Courier Services. more
