SEVEN TIPS TO REDUCE HYPERTENSION
1. Reduce your weight ------ By reducing your weight by every 10kg your systolic blood pressure (the first no in your BP reading ) can be lower by 15 to 20 points.
2. Follow a healthy dietary plan called DASH in medical term . Eat for fruits and green vegetables .Add fiber in your food and take low carb low fat diet.
By strict dietary food you can lower your systolic as well as diastolic BP considerably .
3. Cut Sodium Intake ----- Reduce salt intake so that total Na+ intake is 2.4gm per day i.e. you have to take only 5-6 gm of salt in your diet per day .
4. Regular physical exercises and brisk walking for 35 minutes per day will reduce your BP to optimum level.
5.Avoid alcohol drink --- Alcohol is like Poisson for Hypertension . Drinking alcohol increases the Systolic BP and it can go up to dangerous level to cause heart stroke .
6. Quit Smoking and tobacco intake in any form .
7. Control your stress level ---- It is impossible to eliminate stress completely but you can control the level of stress by change in lifestyle and attitude of thinking . A positive thinking leads to reduce your stress. Avoid the situation whichever triggers your stress. Practice of yoga and Meditation has been universally recommended to reduce the stress .
